Recently, while scrolling through TikTok, I came across a powerful message that stopped me in my tracks. The creator discussed how, in this generation, believers are increasingly focused on power, revival, and the move of God. These are good things, but she made an important point—we often forget the very foundational things that truly matter.
David’s decision to bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem was more than just a political move; it was a deeply spiritual act, symbolizing his desire to make God’s presence central in Israel’s life. This historical event, recorded in 2 Samuel 6, offers profound lessons on worship, obedience, and how we approach God’s holiness.
On Thursday, February 13th, 2025, I had an awe-inspiring conversation with the Holy Spirit. As I reflected on His guidance, He revealed something that struck me deeply: One shall chase a thousand, and two shall put ten thousand to flight.
Have you ever come across a passage of Scripture that you’ve read countless times, only for the Holy Spirit to illuminate something you’ve never noticed before? That’s exactly what happened when I read Exodus 10:21 again:
At the beginning of every year, we all make promises. “This year, I’ll lose weight.” “I’ll save more money.” “I’ll read my Bible every day.” We call them New Year’s resolutions — but if we’re being honest, how many of us actually follow through?
For so long, I thought the Christian life was something I had to live. I believed I needed to muster the strength to let go of sin, to walk away from my past, to hold myself accountable. But the truth is, I sustain no capacity to live this life. None.
Every time I read these words, they pierce me deeply. I see Saul — a man who had no right to the throne, no background or status to qualify him. He was the least man in the least family of the least tribe. Yet God chose him. The Lord’s favor found Saul when he was small in his own eyes, and God raised him to be king over all Israel.
Have you ever been so busy serving God that you forgot to actually be with God? Maybe you’re the one who’s always running around at church, organizing events, helping everywhere — yet your heart feels distant from the One you’re serving. Or perhaps you kneel to pray, but your mind drifts to tomorrow’s to-do list or that email you’ve been meaning to send.
There’s something deeply moving about the story in Luke 8:46 where Jesus says, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Imagine the scene: crowds pressing in on Him, people everywhere — yet one touch stopped Him in His tracks. What made that touch different? Let’s dive deeper.
Have you ever felt unseen, unloved, or just not enough? Maybe you’ve poured your heart into something or someone only to be overlooked. If that resonates with you, then you’ll find a kindred spirit in Leah—the woman who wasn’t chosen, yet carried the promise of redemption in her womb.
